Steve (330) 432-0036

1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe convertible. This car was purchased in 1961-62 by my step-father. At that time he painted the car in lacquer paint ,redid the interior ,put in a 261 ci straight six. He use to drive the car around Canton OH. and pull Leyman wood boat to Norris Lake Tenn. with it.

The car went into storage in 1972-73 where it stayed until
1993. The car was taken out of storage, the motor was bored 60 over, has solid lifter cam, electronic ignition, a Corvette head on it. At this time the rear axle was changed to a 1950 model with 3:50 gear set, disc.
brakes added to the front, new walker radiator, and electric fan, and was converted to a 12 volt system.

I purchased the car Feb. of 2001 from them. Since the purchase from them, I lowered the front of the car with
3" dropped uprights from Fat man Fabrication, lowered the back 1" with
a solid steel spacerblock, had a new top put on by Tailored Trim INC. of
New Philadelphia and put on the American Racing 5 spoke wheels. The car has 62,745 miles on it as of Sept. 10 2007. Every thing else on this car is as it was in 1962 when he restored it. The car was equipped originally
with a independent front end, radio, vacuum assisted 3 spd transmission and everything else you see. For what ever reason my step dad found a complete set of NOS fenders for it and put them on when he painted this car, Along with the set of fenders goes a long list of parts that he
collected of the years. Here is the list 1-extra left front fender, 1
pr of running boards, gas tank, radiator, chin piece, a very straight
grille,4 headlight bodies-1 is NOS battery tray & support, radiator
support rod, lower rear valance, 1- inner fender cowl vent,1- front air
dam, jack, steering box, pitman arm,4-front shocks, 5-rear shocks. 12- hub
caps,1pr rear drums,1pr hood sides,plus8-boxes of misc. Parts including
brake parts, carbs, handles, original 6 volt headlights ,ignitions-stock & various other odds & ends.
